Originally, Henry Bubsy’s wife, Dorothy, had the preference of returning his body to Vicksburg National Cemetery in Vicksburg, MS. However, after many letters going back and forth, she decided to keep his body overseas to be buried. An American flag was sent to his family. In further detail of his burial, he is known to have been reburied on November 10, 1948 in Epinal, France. Henry Busby was awarded the Purple Heart award and is also presumed to have been recognized for the following: Combat Infantry Badge, Marksmanship Badge, WWII Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal, Army Presidential Unit Citation, Army Good Conduct Medal, and European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign.
